Iron Man"s MCU Story Set To "Like A Prayer" Is The Ultimate Marvel Edit That Will Give You Chills
Deadpool & Wolverine's flagship song, "Like a Prayer," has become popular among creators lately – and one particularly chills-inducing video uses it to document Iron Man's journey in the MCU. The Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack is replete with pop music classics, with one of the best opening sequences in the MCU playing out to the tune of NSYNC's "Bye, Bye, Bye" being a particular highlight. Madonna's "Like a Prayer," meanwhile, was front-and-center as the tune to which the trailers and the final action sequences played, including a climactic choir cover.
This rendition of Madonna's "Like a Prayer" has been made to accompany a rousing edit of Tony Stark's MCU journey in a post by @zyndu.aep on TikTok.
The sequence depicts Tony Stark in various stages throughout the MCU, speaking about his motives to protect the world before culminating in his iconic final words and the snap that ostensibly ended his MCU journey. Five years after Tony Stark's death in the MCU, his heroic final act still hits hard – and harder still when the emotional choral cover of "Like a Prayer" is involved.

Why RDJ's Iron Man Is So Important To The MCU Iron Man Was The De Facto Protagonist Of The Infinity Saga Close The MCU began with Tony Stark in 2008's Iron Man and established an unshakable foundation for the rest of the franchise after setting the tone to expect from subsequent movies. Robert Downey Jr. was the perfect casting choice by Marvel Studios as he expertly encapsulated the cocky and charismatic billionaire, securing him as one of the most memorable and recognizable figures in the franchise. Since then, RDJ's Iron Man went on to star in nine MCU movies as the most prominent member of the Avengers and mentor to the MCU's Spider-Man.
RDJ is returning to the MCU as Doctor Doom, though it still remains unclear whether this version of the character will have anything to do with Iron Man.
After starring in the MCU's first movie and fronting all four Avengers movies, Tony Stark's presence in the MCU is impossible to overlook, while the Avengers remain disparate after two further MCU Phases. His death punctuated an entire MCU saga and left a bruise that many MCU characters are still attempting to recover from. So, too, is the franchise as a whole, as the Multiverse Saga struggles to inspire as much enthusiasm for its newer heroes as those movies that starred Tony Stark.
Tony Stark's legacy, therefore, is synonymous with both quality and success – much like the character himself. His final solo movie, Iron Man 3, is one of a handful of movies that grossed over $1 billion at the worldwide box office, which only Spider-Man, Deadpool, and Wolverine have been able to achieve since his death. While the next two Avengers movies are likely to be huge successes, Marvel may still bring back Iron Man as a variant nonetheless to help push it over the line.
