Tragic Venom: The Last Dance Theory Sets Up Eddie Brock Finally Meeting Spider-Man
A new Venom: The Last Dance theory explains how Eddie Brock and Spider-Man's paths could finally cross. Tom Hardy's Venom movies have kept Sony's Spider-Man Universe running, with the franchise's other Marvel-based entries failing to meet the same level of success. Despite its name, the SSU still has to debut its version of Spider-Man or bring in one of the established live-action takes on the hero to serve that role. Venom: The Last Dance's story will bring the film series to a climactic ending, as the last Venom movie from Hardy.

It is unlikely that Tom Holland's Spider-Man will be one of the players in Venom: The Last Dance's cast, but the upcoming movie could finally set up the meeting between the two characters. They already came close to appearing onscreen together, with Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home's post-credits scenes being direct teases of the two meeting. Based on Venom: The Last Dance's first trailer, a new theory positions that the SSU movie could be setting up a Spider-Man crossover for Hardy after Eddie Brock's solo films end.

2 SSU Theory: Venom Dies But Eddie Brock Lives The Venom: The Last Dance Trailer Sets Up A Dark Fate Close According to a new Venom: The Last Dance theory, the movie could end with Venom dying and Hardy's Eddie Brock being set up to embark on a major journey. The movie's first trailer had a very ominous tone, with Venom saying to Eddie at one point, "Eddie, the time has come." That line could hint that one or both of the characters will not make it out alive. The Venom 3 theory suggests only Venom will die, with Eddie Brock trying to find a way to the MCU after to bond with the piece of Venom left behind.
Spider-Man: No Way Home saw Eddie Brock say that it was time for him to meet Spider-Man.
Venom: The Last Dance does feature a scene in the trailer that shows mysterious agents seemingly collecting the piece of the symbiote that is in the MCU. However, according to the SSU theory, they are actually collecting a similar piece that Venom leaves behind in the SSU's version of the bar from Spider-Man: No Way Home once he and Eddie return to their universe. Eddie and Venom depend on each other, so Venom's death could motivate Eddie to go back to the MCU to be reunited with the symbiote, only to find that it has a new owner there.
Related Venom: The Last Dance Can Finally Deliver On The Big Promise Of Sony's Spider-Man Universe Tom Hardy will return for one more Venom movie, and many elements hint that Venom: The Last Dance could finally deliver on the SSU"s biggest promise.
1 The MCU Has Set Up A Symbiote Suit Storyline For Spider-Man Peter Parker Is At His Lowest In The MCU Close The Venom: The Last Dance theory could seamlessly connect to Spider-Man: No Way Home. That movie's ending left Tom Holland's Spider-Man in a dark place. Peter Parker is now alone, with Doctor Strange's spell erasing him from the memory of his loved ones. That setup is perfect for Spider-Man to give in to the symbiote suit. Spider-Man's black suit is one of the hero's most iconic, and more often than not, when he wears the symbiote, Peter becomes a violent person who cannot control the darkness that surrounds him.
As the SSU's Venom is not really a villain, the character could have the goal of stopping Spider-Man and bonding with Venom again.
Spider-Man: No Way Home's events, with Peter forgotten by everyone he loved, and his Aunt May killed by Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, are perfect for the MCU to create its own symbiote suit storyline. As shown by his final fight with Green Goblin, where Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man had to stop him from killing the villain, the MCU's Spider-Man has a lot of pent-up anger. The symbiote could tap into that, augmenting those feelings. As the SSU's Venom is not really a villain, the character could have the goal of stopping Spider-Man and bonding with Venom again.

Why Spider-Man Meeting Venom In The MCU Makes More Sense Than The SSU There Are Many Reasons That Make The MCU A Better Choice Close The MCU is the best universe for Venom and Spider-Man to meet. Venom: The Last Dance is the final movie led by Hardy in the SSU. While his Eddie Brock and Holland's Spider-Man could come together in a future SSU movie, December's Kraven the Hunter is the only film confirmed for the SSU at the moment, which puts the franchise's future in check. For these reasons, an MCU meeting between Spider-Man and Venom seems more likely.
The MCU has the perfect setup for a symbiote suit storyline. Spider-Man: No Way Home left Peter Parker in a dark place, a piece of the symbiote was left behind in the MCU, Spider-Man 4 will be part of the Multiverse Saga, and the character first donned the symbiote suit in Marvel Comics' Secret Wars. All those MCU elements set the stage for Spider-Man to turn violent when he dons the symbiote suit in Spider-Man 4 and/or Avengers: Secret Wars, with Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock attempting to stop him after he possibly loses Venom in Venom: The Last Dance.
Venom: The Last Dance Venom 3 is the third and final installment in Sony's symbiote trilogy starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock. It follows the events of Let There Be Carnage, where the anti-hero fought serial killer Cletus Kasady, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Brock was briefly transported to the MCU through the multiverse.
