10 Spider-Man Villains That Still Haven"t Appeared In Live-Action Marvel Could Use For Tom Holland"s Next MCU Movie
Summary
- Morlun, a multiversal psychic vampire, could add a new depth to Spider-Man 4 and connect with Sony's Spider-Verse.
- Black Cat, a gifted cat burglar and love interest, could bring a thrilling dynamic to Spider-Man's narrative in the MCU.
- Mister Negative, a leader of the Inner Demons, offers an exciting option for a grounded villain who still wields impressive energy powers from the Darkforce Dimension.
The MCU's Spider-Man franchise boasts a plethora of foes both from Earth-616 and beyond. However, there are still plenty of Spider-Man villains that have yet to make it to the big screen. Keeping that in mind, there are several good options for Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker.
The MCU's recent "Home" trilogy recently concluded with 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, a multiversal adventure featuring not only villains from past Spider-Man franchises, but also its previous Peter Parkers (Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield). At the moment, it's currently unknown if the upcoming Spider-Man 4 will be another multiversal epic or more of a grounded feature as Spider-Man truly becomes a New York vigilante. Either way, here are 10 Marvel villains perfect for Spider-Man 4 who've never been depicted in live-action before.

2 10 Morlun Multiversal Psychic Vampire Close If Marvel Studios and Sony decide to split the difference and have Spider-Man 4 be both multiversal and more grounded, the Inheritor known as Morlun could be the villain to help make that happen. A psychic vampire capable of traveling the multiverse, Morlun and his fellow Inheritors serve as one of the biggest threats to the Spider-Verse and its heroes. Seeking to feed on the life forces of Spiders and their existence as powerful totems, Morlun relentlessly hunting down Peter Parker through the streets of New York could mirror his debut in the comics.
Facing Morlun could also be the beginning of a narrative that eventually connects the MCU's Peter Parker to Sony's greater Spider-Verse. According to prophecy, Morlun and his family eventually make it their mission to kill all Spider totems in the entire multiverse. As such, Morlun could be a truly terrifying MCU villain on the big screen, one that opens up a world of countless relates for the Webslinger to explore.
9 Black Cat Foe and Spider-Man Love Interest Close Sony has reportedly tried to make a Black Cat movie happen for years. Real name Felicia Hardy, the Black Cat is an extremely gifted cat burglar who has since become more of an anti-hero in the Marvel Universe. Likewise, she's also an on-and-off again love interest of Spider-Man's.
It's worth noting that recent rumors are swirling that Sony may be considering Sydney Sweeney to play Black Cat (despite her previous Madame Web role as Julia Carpenter before she became Spider-Woman). Regardless, any version of Felicia Hardy would certainly be exciting, especially considering Peter Parker's current status quo in the wake of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Following the world-saving spell that also made the entire world forget about Peter Parker, one could argue that the time is ripe for Spider-Man to become entangled with the Black Cat in the MCU.
8 Mister Negative Leader of the Inner Demons Close A classic Spider-Man villain made famous for his prominent role in Sony's recent Spider-Man games for the PlayStation, Mister Negative could be a very exciting foe for Peter Parker to face in the MCU. Having been exposed to Darkforce energy, Martin Li developed a darker personality known as Mister Negative, while also gaining incredible energy powers. As such, Li made it his mission to become Chinatown's Kingpin of Crime in New York as the leader of the Inner Demons gang.
If Spider-Man 4 is indeed more grounded, Mister Negative could be the perfect villain to expose Peter Parker to the inner workings of New York's organized crime. It also helps that he displays fantastic powers of his own, ensuring that the movie will still have some incredible action sequences (as proven by the Spider-Man games). Likewise, the Mister Negative actor from the games, Stephen Oyoung, has already voiced his hopes to one day play the character in live-action (and is also trained in martial arts).
7 Hammerhead A Major New York Crime Boss Close Another classic Marvel Universe crime boss, Hammerhead could be an incredibly intimidating villain for Tom Holland's Spider-Man to face in his next adventure. Many are hoping that Peter Parker will start taking on New York's criminal underworld, especially considering the ending of No Way Home. To that end, Hammerhead and his extreme durability could make him a prime antagonist in the MCU's future, while also leading the crime family known as the Maggia.
6 Tombstone Enemy of Spider-Man and Daredevil Close Tombstone could be just as good of an option for a more grounded Spider-Man 4. Like Mister Negative and Hammerhead, Lonnie Lincoln's Tombstone is also a key player in New York's underworld, while also possessing some extra abilities, in his case being an incredibly strong albino who was physically enhanced to extreme levels. He also has a past with none other than the Daily Bugle's Joeseph "Robbie" Robertson, and is also a frequent foe of Daredevil, something that would be very exciting if Matt Murdock and Peter Parker do team up like many MCU fans are hoping in Spider-Man 4.
5 Scorpion With Full Armor Close Technically, the Scorpion has already been featured in the MCU as seen in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming. Played by Michael Mando, one of the Vulture's clients was none other than Mac Gargan who was seen with a scorpion tattoo on his neck. There was also a post-credits scene where the future Scorpion talks with Vulture about going after Spider-Man, though the tease has still gone on unfulfilled seven years later.
To that end, it would be very exciting to see a full-fledged Scorpion in the future MCU with Spider-Man 4, complete with the armored suit from the comics which Gargan eventually finds himself trapped inside. Gargan's origins could also be depicted quite well now that J.K. Simmons' J. Jonah Jameson has debuted in the MCU, having been the one who paid and hired Gargan to wear the Scorpion suit and hunt down Spider-Man, complete with a prehensile tail capable of shooting deadly acid. Scorpion could help add to Sony's long-held hopes to get an on-screen Sinister Six off the ground.
4 Chameleon Ultimate Master of Disguise Close The Chameleon was Spider-Man's first ever supervillain in the comics, an incredible master of disguise who's tormented and evaded the Websllinger as well as any of Peter Parker's other foes. However, he's yet to make it to the big screen or in the MCU. The half-brother of Kraven the Hunter, it is worth noting that Dmitri Smerdyakov will be in Sony's upcoming Kraven movie, played by Fred Hechinger. However, it's unknown if this version of Dimitri will receive his own origins and transformation into the Chameleon. Either way, any version of the Chameleon would be a villain unlike any other seen in the MCU thus far.
3 The Jackal Miles Warren Could Give The MCU Its Own Clone Saga Close Professor Miles Warren could take the MCU's Spider-Man in some wild new directions for his next trilogy. Also known as the Jackal, Warren is responsible for Spider-Man's Clone Saga, having created classic characters such as the Scarlet Spiders (Ben Reilly and Kaine), both clones of Peter Parker himself who have both been rivals and allies. While it would certainly be a wild new trajectory for the MCU, it could lead to some very interesting stories for Tom Holland's Webslinger that's certainly worth considering.
2 Silver Sable Leader of the Wild Pack Close Sony has been wanting to bring Silver Sable to live-action just as much as Black Cat, so much so that they'd long had a Silver & Black movie in development. In the comics, Silvija Sablinova hails from the nation of Symkaria, having been trained by her father to avenge the death of her mother. Following her father's death, Sablinova became the leader of the mercenary group known as the Wild Pack and head of Silver Sable International. As such, she's been both a rival and sometimes an ally to Spider-Man in the comics, a character who would certainly create some interesting dynamics in the MCU.
1 The Rose Son of Kingpin Close Wilson Fisk's Kingpin is about to make a major comeback in the MCU with Daredevil: Born Again, having made appearances in both Hawkeye and Marvel's Echo following his original debut in Netflix's Daredevil series (which is now MCU canon again). However, it would be very interesting if Fisk's son was revealed in the MCU as well, a crime boss in his own right known as The Rose. As seen on the page, Richard Fisk became the Rose with ambitions to one day take his father's role as New York's Kingpin (despite his father's best efforts).
While not nearly as well known as his father, facing The Rose could be a dynamic stepping stone for Spider-Man before he eventually faces the Kingpin himself. Parker could then potentially join with Daredevil to take the older Fisk down as many are hoping for Spider-Man 4. Perhaps defeating The Rose could be the very thing that puts Spider-Man on Kingpin's radar in the MCU.
Spider-Man Homecoming 4 Not Yet Rated SuperheroActionAdventure Spider-Man: Homecoming 4 is the first sequel to the MCU's Spider-Man trilogy starring Tom Holland as the titular wall-crawler. After wiping his identity for the public's memory in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker continues his crime-fighting adventures without the aid of Iron Man technology or the support of his former allies.
