There"s Only 1 Thing I Want To See In Captain America: Brave New World"s Credits Scenes
Summary
- I want Captain America: Brave New World's post-credits scenes to copy The Marvels by setting up the MCU's Young Avengers team.
- Eli Bradley is the next best candidate to join the Young Avengers, though Elijah Richardson hasn't been confirmed to be returning in Captain America: Brave New World.
- Marvel Studios has the perfect opportunity to explore Eli Bradley's MGH storyline from Marvel Comics, which I'd love to see in live-action.
I really hope that the post-credits scenes of Captain America: Brave New World continue the most exciting team set-up in the MCU. Following his promotion to the role of Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson will be making his big-screen debut as the star-spangled man-with-a-plan in 2025's Brave New World. I'm excited about certain characters from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier returning in Captain America: Brave New World's cast, especially since this can add another piece to the MCU's newest superhero team puzzle.
The first teaser trailer for Captain America: Brave New World released in July 2024. As well as catching up with Sam Wilson's Captain America, Joaquín Torres' new Falcon, and President Ross, who will become Red Hulk, Brave New World will also reintroduce Carl Lumbly's super-soldier Isaiah Bradley to the MCU. Isaiah Bradley's return could bring his grandson, Eli Bradley, with him, though Elijah Richardson hasn't been confirmed to be reprising his The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. I know the best scene to bring him back to the MCU, however.

I Want Captain America: Brave New World’s Post-Credits Scenes To Copy The Marvels Close While it seems as though Eli Bradley won't be featured in the bulk of Captain America: Brave New World, I reckon the movie's post-credits scenes would be a fantastic place to bring him back into the fray. To do this, Brave New World could copy The Marvels, which ended with Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan approaching Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop with the prospect of building a new superhero team. For those in the know, this was a clear indication of the formation of the Young Avengers, of which Eli Bradley is a prominent member in Marvel Comics.
Eli Bradley's Patriot was a founding member of Marvel Comics' Young Avengers back in 2005's Young Avengers #1, alongside Nate Richards' Iron Lad, Billy Kaplan's Wiccan, Teddy Altman's Hulkling and Kate Bishop's Hawkeye.
In The Marvels, Kamala Khan's Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop's Hawkeye, and Cassie Lang's Stature were teased as the first official members of the MCU's Young Avengers team. This superhero team has been speculated to be forming in recent years, as many young heroes have been introduced throughout the Multiverse Saga. Eli Bradley is one of these potential candidates. Even though he hasn't received his superhuman abilities yet, and hasn't been confirmed to be returning in Captain America: Brave New World, this possibility has me very excited.
Marvel Studios Needs To Set Up The Young Avengers Quicker We're now roughly halfway into the MCU's Multiverse Saga, so disparate storylines, separated characters, and unconnected events will start to come together ready for Phase 6's Avengers crossover projects. Despite this, Marvel Studios has been taking its Young Avengers set-up incredibly slowly. So far, only The Marvels has provided an official tease of the team, while WandaVision, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, and several other projects have hinted at possible members.
I want Marvel Studios to kick this set-up into overdrive so that we have a functioning Young Avengers team by the time Avengers 5 rolls around in 2026. This means that several upcoming projects need to take huge strides in setting up the team. Agatha All Along and Ironheart may bring Joe Locke's Billy Kaplan and Dominique Thorne's Riri Williams one step closer to becoming Young Avengers, and Captain America: Brave New World can do the same for Eli Bradley, particularly since his super-soldier grandfather will be a key element of the Phase 5 movie.
Eli Bradley Not Having His Powers Reflects His Marvel Comics Story Perfectly Captain America: Brave New World introducing MGH would create some brilliant for Eli Bradley before he becomes a Young Avenger.
The fact that Eli Bradley doesn't have his superpowers in the MCU yet makes him being recruited into the Young Avengers even better, as this is exactly what happens in Marvel Comics. Despite being the grandson of super-soldier Isaiah Bradley, Eli's mother was conceived before Isaiah's enhancements, so Eli didn't inherit his grandfather's gifts. Nevertheless, Eli claimed a blood transfusion gifted him these powers when approached by Iron Lad to join Marvel Comics' Young Avengers, but Eli actually used MGH to fabricate his powers.
MGH, otherwise known as Mutant Growth Hormone, was an illegal street drug that temporarily gifted its user superhuman abilities. Eli Bradley did eventually receive a blood transfusion from his grandfather, giving him innate powers, but I would love to see his MGH storyline handled in the live-action MCU. Not only would this be a great next step in setting up the MCU's mutants, but Captain America: Brave New World introducing MGH would create some brilliant conflict for Eli Bradley before he becomes a Young Avenger.
Captain America: Brave New World FantasyAdventureAction Captain America: Brave New World (formerly titled New World Order) marks Sam Wilson's first MCU big-screen appearance as Steve Rogers' successor after receiving the suit and shield in Phase 4's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Anthony Mackie returns as the titular Avenger alongside Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, Carl Lumby as Isaiah Bradley, and Tim Blake Nelson as The Incredible Hulk's former ally Samuel Sterns.
