When Secret Invasion Is Set In The MCU Phase 5 Timeline

Marvel's Secret Invasion is headed for Disney+ soon, and many will be curious about the series' place in the MCU's timeline. Based on the Marvel Comics story of the same name, Secret Invasion focuses on Nick Fury (Samuel L . Jackson), who uncovers a plot by the shape-shifting alien race known as the Skrulls to infiltrate Earth, and leads the spy group S.W.O.R.D. to stop them. Secret Invasion builds from numerous previous MCU installments in which the Skrulls were first introduced, notably Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home, the latter of which set up Fury's mission against the Skrull invasion in its end credits scene.
Secret Invasion will consist of six episodes released weekly, with the show set to arrive on Disney+ on June 21. With the MCU being built on its internal continuity, the relationship between MCU movies and shows has gotten even more interconnected since Avengers: Endgame. Between that and the franchise's movies and Disney+ shows interweaving with each other increasingly often, that raises questions about exactly when Marvel's Secret Invasion show takes place in the MCU's timeline in the lead-up to Avengers: Secret Wars, but there are numerous indicators to help solve that mystery.
