Where Are The Avengers During Secret Invasion?

Nick Fury is in a dicey situation in Secret Invasion, but the Avengers are nowhere to help him. Marvel Studios' first Phase 5 Disney+ series marks the return of Sam Jackson as the former SHIELD director. After missing for the most part of the end of the Infinity Saga, Fury's comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is unfortunately not on the best terms. Instead of reconnecting with his old allies following years of absence, he is called back to Earth as he deals with a new issue that is secretly affecting the whole planet.
Inspired by one of the most expansive stories in Marvel Comics, Secret Invasion will be significantly different from its Multiverse Saga predecessors. The new Disney+ show will be more of an espionage thriller, reminiscent of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. In the series, Fury is being held accountable for not delivering on his and Captain Marvel's promise to find the Skrulls a suitable home planet decades ago. He then learns that a faction of the shape-shifting aliens has decided to quietly take over Earth and claim it as theirs in retaliation. As such, Fury has a big crisis on his hands, and unfortunately, he seems to be on his own.
The Avengers Team Hasn't Been Seen Since Endgame In The MCU After Iron Man and Black Widow's death, not to mention Captain America's retirement in Avengers: Endgame, it remains unclear who are active members of the Avengers in the post-Infinity Saga MCU. There are three remaining founding heroes who are still in the universe: Hulk, Thor, and Hawkeye. All of them have their respective appearances in Phase 4, but they haven't been spotted together since the fight against Thanos. It's also uncertain if there's any communication among them; the same goes for all the other heroes who are known to still be operating in the MCU.
