Please Marvel & Sony, I Need Andrew Garfield To Get The Amazing Spider-Man 3 For Two Major Reasons

The Amazing Spider-Man 3 would be perfect for Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker for two major reasons, and that is why I need it to happen. I was ecstatic to see Garfield return to the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after seven years away. Spider-Man: No Way Home is the most special of all Spider-Man movies due to how it managed to bring out the best versions of all three live-action Spider-Men and the amazing chemistry that they share. I loved it and would like to see more of that in the MCU, but after Garfield gets another solo film.

Garfield is my favorite Spider-Man when he dons the superhero suit, being the one to capture Spider-Man's sarcastic banter the best, something Holland is the second best. The Amazing Spider-Man movies also had a core romance with Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy that stands as my favorite among all superhero films, not just Spider-Man ones. I was sad when The Amazing Spider-Man 3 was canceled, but I believe it could be Garfield's ultimate Spider-Man movie if it came back.

2 I Want To See Andrew Garfield Complete His Spider-Man Trilogy The Actor Deserves Not To Be Left Behind Close The Amazing Spider-Man 2 faced many issues, with most of them coming from Sony's decision to pack it with teases for future films that would never come. Spider-Man: No Way Home showed that Garfield remains just as sharp as Spider-Man, and since it was first canceled, The Amazing Spider-Man 3 has its best chance of happening now. One of the main reasons why I would like to see the movie happen is so that Garfield gets the chance to complete his The Amazing Spider-Man trilogy and can finally be on the same foot as his peers.
Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 4 were originally dated for June 10, 2016, and May 4, 2018, respectively, before being canceled.
At the moment, Garfield is the only live-action Spider-Man actor not to get a trilogy. Before he was cast in the role, Tobey Maguire starred in a Spider-Man trilogy from 2002 to 2007. After Sony decided to cancel The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and move forward by sharing the hero with Marvel and the MCU, Tom Holland led three Spider-Man movies, with the actor's Spider-Man 4 currently being in development, which will isolate him as the actor with the most Spider-Man solo films. I do not want to see Garfield left behind, and The Amazing Spider-Man 3 could solve that issue.

3 Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man & Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacy Need To Reunite The Best Aspect Of The Amazing Spider-Man Franchise Close Story-wise, the main reason I want to see The Amazing Spider-Man 3 finally happen is to have Garfield's Peter Parker back on screen with Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy. I absolutely loved their romance in the two The Amazing Spider-Man movies, with their chemistry being the best aspect of the franchise. Sadly, Gwen died in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, though the film did a magnificent job of adapting the character's iconic comic book death, resulting in one of the most emotional and tragic moments in any superhero movie ever. Garfield's Peter Parker carried the guilt for Gwen's death for years.
In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Garfield's Peter mentions that Gwen was his MJ to Holland's Peter, saying that he could not save her, and that made him bitter, with the hero stopping pulling his punches. Later in the film, Garfield had what was likely my favorite scene in the MCU event. When Zendaya's MJ was falling from the Statue of Liberty and Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin stopped Holland's Spider-Man from saving her, Garfield's jumped down to save her. The moment was a clear callback to Gwen's death, with Peter crying after being able to save MJ and succeed this time.
After having returned to the role in a multiverse event, I want to see Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man 3 continue that plot device to see the return of Stone's Gwen Stacy.
After that cathartic moment, I would love to see The Amazing Spider-Man 3 explore a great next step for Garfield's Peter. Since The Amazing Spider-Man movies hinged so much on Peter and Gwen's romance, it would feel weird to see the character in a new relationship in a third film. However, after having returned to the role in a multiverse event, I want to see Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man 3 continue that plot device to see the return of Stone's Gwen Stacy. While Gwen died, a multiverse Spider-Woman Gwen falling in love with Peter would make for a touching film.

What The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Could Be About Story Details From The Canceled Movie Are Available Close Shailene Woodley, who at the time was quite a big name with Divergent's release, had been cast as Mary Jane Watson in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. However, all her scenes were cut to keep the focus on Stone's Gwen Stacy and her relationship with Garfield's Peter Parker. Had The Amazing Spider-Man 3 happened, the actress could have finally debuted as MJ. That would not have blocked a return from Stone, as there were plans to go the Ultimate Marvel Comics route for the character and have Gwen return as a version of Carnage, which I think wouldn't have worked.
I believe the Carnage version of Gwen would have initially fought Spider-Man before he separated her from the symbiote, and Stone came back as regular Gwen, though it would have been too convoluted. The Amazing Spider-Man 3 would be better served by going for the multiverse route to bring Gwen back. That said, the original version of the movie could have had some great villains, as The Amazing Spider-Man 3 planned to include the Sinister Six, who would have debuted in a team movie. Chris Cooper's Norman Osborn would have been resurrected as Green Goblin to lead the Sinister Six.

1 Could The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Happen? Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man Has More Stories To Tell Close Spider-Man: No Way Home set up a possible story for Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man 3. Doctor Strange's spell made every character across the multiverse that knew Peter Parker was Spider-Man forget about him so that they would not all be pulled into the MCU. Theoretically, that should have impacted the universe of Maguire and Garfield's Spider-Men. I think that Garfield coming back home, seeing that his Aunt May and others don't remember him, and going on a multiverse journey that leads him back to Gwen as he searches for a way to break the spell would be exciting.
Talking to Variety, Garfield revealed he is open to coming back as Spider-Man, saying, "I mean, yes, definitely open to something if it felt right." Stone has also commented on a possible return, though when she spoke to Entertainment Tonight, the Gwen Stacy actress was more vague than Garfield, saying, "I don’t know, that’s so challenging." At the moment, no official announcements have been made regarding Andrew Garfield coming back again as Peter Parker in the MCU or The Amazing Spider-Man 3, but I hope that the actor will get the chance to complete his trilogy.
The Amazing Spider-Man 3 The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is the unmade third installment in Sony's second Spider-Man franchise. Despite the numerous set-ups established in the previous two entries, the third movie was canceled, paving the way for an MCU-set reboot starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker. However, Andrew Garfield reprised his role as the Marvel web-slinger once again in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
