Chris Evans has had a long history with Marvel properties, but Captain America is now officially his definitive superhero role. Although the actor became an icon of the MCU after starring as Steve Rogers for nearly a decade, his Marvel start came well before his MCU debut in Captain America: The First Avenger. Chris Evans’ first superhero role was as Johnny Storm in 2005’s Fantastic Four, which didn’t end up having any overlap with the future role he would play in the MCU timeline. 8 Deadpool & Wolverine Killed Chris Evans' Other Marvel Superhero Deadpool and Wolverine first come across Chris Evans’ character in the Void under the impression that it’s Captain America, but it turns out to be the Human Torch instead. Johnny is captured with Wade and Logan after fighting Cassandra Nova’s men, and he meets an unfortunate demise once faced with the villain. Cassandra gruesomely but swiftly kills Johnny after Deadpool exposes his bad behavior.
