Sony's Venom 3 starts filming again after the SAG-AFTRA strike concludes, and Tom Hardy shares a new set photo from the Marvel movie to celebrate. Venom 3 was confirmed by Sony in Spring 2022, and started filming in 2023 prior to the strike, but production paused while the actors union renegotiated their contract. In the film, Hardy returns as Eddie Brock, joining other members of the Venom 3 cast, which includes newcomers to the franchise Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
On Instagram, Tom Hardy shared a photo of himself back in costume on the set of Venom 3. He's joined in the photo by the movie's director, Kelly Marcel, who previously worked on the scripts for Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage before stepping into the role of director. Hardy's caption includes a heart emoji and the stylized version of the movie's unofficial title, written out as "V3NOM3." He's wearing the same tee and Hawaiian shirt combo that were seen in previous Venom 3 set photos, indicating he's back in costume as Eddie Brock.
