A new Loki season 2 theory suggests that the MCU show will set up the true big bad of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Following the major cliffhanger seen in Loki season 2, episode 4, the Kang variant known as Victor Timely (Jonathan Majors) was seemingly destroyed by temporal radiation. However, it's possible that this could lead to a major villain emerging in the MCU multiverse, one that would fit well with other MCU big bads.
Although the TVA had a plan to stabilize the overloading Temporal Loom used to weave together branched timelines, the device exploded in Loki season 2, episode 4, seemingly killing everyone and the whole of reality itself. However, Victor Timely was notably the first to seemingly die, having volunteered to fix the Loom only to be instantly vaporized as a result. However, it's possible that this is only be the beginning of a new evolution for Timely going forward into the final episodes of Loki season 2 (and perhaps beyond with Avengers 5).

With two episodes left of Loki season 2, it's evident that the cast of the new MCU show will somehow return. However, one has to wonder if Victor Timely will return changed in some way, especially considering how he was vaporized while holding the Throughput Multiplier and his mysterious prototype device some have suggested could be an early version of Kang's multiversal engine core seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Regardless, the main idea is that Victor Timely will perhaps evolve, becoming more than the timid inventor he's been thus far in the MCU.
As seen in Loki season 2, there's been fear over what Timely could become. Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) in particular is concerned that Victor could become another He Who Remains "or something worse". As has been seen elsewhere in the MCU multiverse, this is undoubtedly a reference to Kang the Conqueror and all the variants who look to be far more dangerous like the recently introduced Council of Kangs in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. As such, perhaps Victor's theorized evolution could see him becoming a "Prime Kang", serving as the main villain to be overcome in Avengers 5 which is set to release in 2026.
