Matt Murdock Gets New Red Glasses In Daredevil: Born Again Set Photo
A new Daredevil: Born Again set photo reveals the first look at star Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock in the series. Cox's turn as Matt Murdock in Daredevil: Born Again will mark his first project as a lead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After Netflix's Daredevil was canceled in November 2018, the actor would go years without reprising the role, before a cameo return in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, and a two-episode arc in 2022's She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
Twitter fan account Daredevil: Born Again Updates shared the first look at Cox as Matt Murdock on set of Daredevil: Born Again, with his costume including a new set of red glasses that looked like they were ripped straight from the comics.
Daredevil's return amid the MCU's Multiverse Saga is interesting, as Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has reiterated at different times the character's importance to going forward. Daredevil appears to be poised to be the face of the MCU's street-level heroes, alongside Spider-Man. While Marvel could have used a multiverse explanation for Cox's return, it appears that will not be the case for Daredevil, but there is a way in which the MCU version of Matt Murdock could differ from the Netflix series.
